How smart is a smart watch?

Smart Watch – the issues

Dr Timothy Ray Li Ac, OMD.

When taking case histories and muscle testing clients, we noticed an interesting issue.  For some people, their smart watch was causing some problems.

A particular issue specific to smart watches is the green light shining onto the wrist and the wifi function being particularly located at the wrist, a site of many acupuncture meridians.  We have seen varying degrees of blocked autonomic regulation. This equates to the dialogue between the brain and the internal organs being disturbed, thus the intelligence of regulation reverts to automatic, or organ based habituation instead of the required adaptability and variability (so important for normal heart function per the HRV test).

Smart watches sit where a watch normally sits, on the top or knuckle side of the wrist. This is where the TCM Triple Warmer Meridian flows. The TW is the Yang aspect of the Pericardium Meridian, also knows as the Protector of the Heart. The pericardium is an envelope, or protective sheath surrounding the heart.

In TCM the organs are though of as being paired, solid organs to hollow organs. For example the Liver is a solid organ, and it is paired with the hollow Gall Bladder. The hollow organ expresses the Yang aspect of that pair. The Yang aspect denotes function, outward going, forceful, rising and hot energy.  The Yin aspect encompasses structure, rest, nutritive status, and reserve strength.  The specific acupuncture point from the TW Meridian where a wrist watch normally sits is usually in between TW 4 and 5, both important treatment points for systemic regulation. The TW regulates the endocrine system and water metabolism, it can also effect the balance of Yin and Yang in the body, and all tissues local to its pathway.

What happens to the flow of Qi and Blood in that meridian when exposed to a continuous green laser frequency, a quartz crystal oscillation, and a WiFi signal?

The green laser is used to sedate exuberant energy, and can be used to kill microbes. If you continuously sedate the Yang protector of the Heart, you are removing its defenses to some degree physically, mentally and emotionally. The more Yang deficient the person is, the greater the disturbance.

A quartz crystal oscillation is not necessarily a bad vibe, but it is not intrinsic to or required by the TW to function, thus, a disturbance, a distraction at best.

A WiFi signal is pernicious, proven in countless studies to cause cellular deregulation, its perniciousness amplified by the length and proximity of exposure.

From this you can probably understand why and how the Smart Watch block autonomic regulation.

Will people wearing Smart Watches all come down with heart and endocrine diseases? Probably not, but there will be a continuous weakening of the system, and depending on how compromised the genetics, nutrition and general health are, could easily be the straw that breaks the camel’s back.  If you put the Smart Watch on for a few minutes, get the readings, and then take it off, I don’t think it can hurt you. At least take if off at night or when you don’t absolutely need it.
